What's YOUR excuse? :)

So, I really have to apologize for not posting anything here in a while. The truth is, I've been relegated to an almost all "raw-food"* diet, and there is really only so much one can say about the merits of a strawberry or a banana. Or the joys of a fresh mango. Or the soothing qualities of a Saltine washed down with ginger ale.

OK, OK, I'll stop being vague. Here's the reason I can't even stand the thought of roasting a chicken, and why I make Matt eat his meals in the garage:

This is our first, and it's been a LONG time coming, and we're kind of nervous, so prayers/good thoughts, or whatever floats your boat are VASTLY appreciated.

(Due in mid-October.)

*Meaning, one, non-cooked, mild tasting thing at a time, and very slowly.

WOW! Congratulations!! We were married 4 years before we conceived too, and I seriously only ate nectarines and cereal the whole first trimester :)

I'm very happy for you!!!

We'll be sure to keep you in our prayers...and hopefully that whole nasty morning sickness thing will pass before too long.

Beth, mmm, nectarines... ;)

Anne and Jill, thanks for the prayers and congratulations!

The morning sickness is pretty much gone, it's just that I can't eat "complicated" things. Like, I tried to have a chicken salad sandwich yesterday, and it tasted so GOOD, but after the first bite, it was as if my body was all, "WHOA! Ok, hold on, these are...FLAVORS...and, um, some TEXTURES...all mixed toGETHER, OK, give me a minute, let me just...give me a minute...OK, go." Rinse repeat with each bite! :) I usually stick to fruit slices, veggie sticks, and steamed fish and brown rice!
